Writers Tears Cask Strength is Ireland’s most unique cask strength whiskey as it is a rare vatting of aged Single Pot Still and Single Malt Whiskey. Writers’ Tears Cask Strength is triple distilled, natural non-chill filtered, carefully aged in Bourbon barrels and bottled, this year, at 54.5% ABV. “The new design for our limited cask editions have their own unique label design to allow for more detail about these special whiskeys,” said Walsh. “Of course the label on the bottle-neck carries the technical detail of each whiskey including the whiskey, cask and still types; the batch and bottle number.” The 2020 release is limited to just 3,000 individually signed and numbered bottles, which will be split evenly between the US and rest of the World.
