  • Ginger ale
  • Club soda

Take a Collins glass, add ice and pour in the scotch. Fill the remaining space in the glass with equal amounts of ginger ale and soda.

17. Rusty Nail

  • 2 ounces of blended scotch
  • ½ ounce Drambuie
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters (optional)

Fill your rocks glass with ice. Add the ingredients – blended scotch, Drambuie and bitters. Stir well and serve.

18. John Collins

  • 2 oz bourbon whiskey
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1 tsp superfine sugar
  • 3 oz club soda
  • 1 maraschino cherry
  • 1 slice orange

Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes and combine the ice cubes with bourbon, lemon juice and sugar. After shaking it well, strain it into a Collins glass. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with a cherry and an orange slice.

19. Suffering Bastard

  • 1 ounce of bourbon
  • 1 ounce of gin
  • 1 ounce of fresh lime juice
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 4 ounces chilled ginger ale

Pour the ingredients into an Old-Fashioned glass that is pre-filled with ice. Top it with ginger ale and add more ice if required. Garnish with a mint sprig or an orange slice.

20. Blood and Sand

  • ¾ ounce of Johnnie Walker Black Scotch
  • ¾ ounce of cherry liqueur
  • ¾ ounce of sweet vermouth
  • ¾ ounce orange juice
  • 1 thin strip orange zest

Take a cocktail shaker, fill it with ice. Combine the scotch, cherry liqueur, vermouth and orange juice in the shaker. Strain the mixture into a martini glass and garnish it with a strip of orange zest.

21. The Revolver

  • 2 ounces of bourbon
  • ½ ounce coffee liqueur
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • A wide strip of orange zest for garnish

Take a mixing glass and add the bourbon, coffee liqueur, and orange bitters. Fill the glass with ice. Stir well for around 30 seconds until it gets chilled. Strain the drink into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish it with orange zest.

22. Jameson Irish Redhead

  • 3 ounces Irish whiskey
  • 1 ounce of grenadine
  • 6 ounces Sprite
  • Lemon
  • Lime
  • Blood Oranges (optional)

Mix whiskey, grenadine, lemon juice and lime juice together. Pour the mixture into the rocks glass filled with ice. Add Sprite to fill the glass and garnish it with cherry, lime, lemon slices or blood orange.

23. Glasgow Cocktail

  • 3 dashes bitters
  • 30ml dry vermouth
  • 3 dashes pastis
  • 30ml scotch whiskey

Take a mixing glass, fill it with ice cubes. Add all the ingredients. Stir and strain into a cocktail glass.

24. The Brooklyn Cocktail

 

  • 2 ounces rye or any other whiskey
  • 1 ounce of dry vermouth
  • ¼ ounce maraschino liqueur
  • ¼ ounce Amer Picon, Ramazzotti or a few dashes Angostura or orange bitters

Combine all the ingredients with ice and stir until its chilled. Strain the drink into a chilled cocktail glass and serve.

25. Vanilla Highball

  • 25ml blended whiskey
  • Cream soda
  • Ice
  • Orange slice for garnish

Take a tall glass and fill it with ice, add blended whiskey and give a good stir. Add more ice if required. Top with cream soda and garnish with an orange slice.
