“Here in Chicago, the word ‘Lollapalooza’ has always been synonymous with summer, great music, and four days of unforgettable fun – which made last year’s decision to postpone it all the more difficult,” said Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot in a statement. “Now, less than a year later and armed with a vaccine that is safe, effective, and widely available, we are able to bring back one of our city’s most iconic summer music festivals. I want to thank the Lollapalooza team for working closely with the City to create a reopening strategy that prioritizes safety and can’t wait to see festivalgoers return to Grant Park this summer.” Those keen on heading along will have to provide proof of their COVID vaccination in order to enter. If you’re not keen on getting the jab, you’ll have to supply a negative test result within 24 hours of attending each day of the festival. More details will be available leading up to the festival. Four-day tickets are currently on sale now from Lollapalooza’s website. General admission passes go for $375 USD and GA+ tickets are priced at $700 USS, while VIP tickets are going for $1,500 USD and Platinum tickets for $4200 USD. lollapalooza.com
