Famed whisky brand Glenfiddich is celebrating Lunar New Year in style. The Scottish spirit makers have joined with Shenzhen-based artist Rlon Wang for a new label and box design celebrating “The Great Homecoming” when people return home to see their loved ones.

The limited-edition designs feature the Glenfiddich Stag (also known as Fu Lu in Mandarin) – which represents wealth, prosperity and longevity in the Chinese culture – and his joyous return to Scotland.

“I wanted to tell a story that evokes the warmth and excitement of Lunar New Year – the irreplaceable feeling and anticipation of finally coming home to loved ones,” Wang explained. “Inspired by the Glenfiddich spirit of experimentation and adventure, I created an illustration that comes alive with symbols of generations old and new. I loved playing with the symbiosis of Chinese and Scottish cultures – two connected countries on opposite sides of the world.”

Wang’s incredibly detailed four-box design showcases the journey people make to get home by road, rail, air, and sea. It’s a vibrant piece of art featuring small details such as dancing lions and whisky-carrying birds. There are also hot air balloons depicted carrying casks of Glenfiddich.

The limited-edition designs are available with Glenfiddich 21-Year-Old Reserva Rum Cask, and Glenfiddich Original 12-Year-Old.

You can purchase these limited edition Lunar New Year variants from all good bottle shops.
