British carmaker McLaren continues to push the boundaries of supercars with the Artura. The company’s first-ever High-Performance Hybrid (HPH) supercar combines the power of a twin-turbocharged three-liter V6 engine with an E-motor and energy pack.

Capable of pumping out a combined output of 671 bhp and 531 lb-ft, this highly desirable supercar can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just three seconds, and to 186 mph in 21.5 seconds. The Artura also has a top speed of 205 mph, making it one of the fasted hybrid supercars ever built. While the electric motor only has a 19-mile range, when combined with the V6 you can get an average of 50 miles out of the tank.  The Artura has been built from scratch and features the all-new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The sporty two-seater is aerodynamically shaped and also has the new Pirelli Cyber Tire system. This wild technology involves a microchip being placed in each tire to record real-time temperature and pressure statistics so you’ll always know when the tires need a good pump up.

“Our mission was to deliver stunning looks, agility, and performance, and get the fun factor and engagement that you’ve never seen before in a hybrid,” exclaimed design director Robe Melville. “To tell the truth, we’re always quite modest with this, but I’m not going to be here. The Artura is absolutely sensational and truly delivers on the mission and I think it will set a new bar for high-performance hybrids.” There’s no release date, but the McLaren Artura will be priced at around $225,000.
