Everyone knows someone who owned a Subaru Impreza back in the day. Made famous thanks to rally car driver Colin McRae and his battles with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in the World Rally Championships, the Impreza is an icon of the 90s. Now you can own one yourself, with a rare 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STI Coupe up for auction. Number 156 of 400 built, this widebody model is much sought after by collectors. The 22B was built to commemorate Subaru’s 40th anniversary as well as its third consecutive World Rally Championship. Originally purchased in Japan, it was imported to America by its buyer in July 2000.

The 22B features a  2.2-liter flat-four and five-speed manual transmission. Other highlights include an electronically locking center differential, an adjustable rear wing, BBS 17″ gold-finished wheels, red-finished STi brake calipers, automatic climate control, and 22B-specific bodywork. The Impreza is finished in World Rally Blue and also comes with an enlarged hood scoop, power-folding side mirrors, an STi branded exhaust tip, and tinted windows. The timing belt and water pump were replaced earlier this year. The interior is highlighted by blue and black upholstery on Recaro seats, a leather shift knob with red stitching, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching frames, and a special plaque recognizing this car as #156 of 400.
