The epitome of luxury automobiles, Rolls-Royce has another bespoke vehicle sure to dazzle your eyes. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus takes the standard Phantom sedan and turns it into a reflection of the universe.
The inside is chock full of light displays and images created to reflect outer space. The dashboard – called the “Frozen Flow of Time Gallery” – features 100 individual columns on a black-anodized and hand-polished aluminum surface representing the 100 million years for a rotation of a pulsar star.
The Starlight Headliner has been reimagined as a window into the universe with swirling star motifs and an intricate embodied interior. Looking at the roof really makes you feel like you’re gazing up at the stars.
“Phantom Tempus is a motor car for those who shape the world as they seek their own place in the universe,” said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “The events of the past year have caused many people, not least our clients, to re-evaluate their sense of, and relationship with time.”
There’s also a Tempus Champagne Chest to store your booze. This hand-painted chest and table houses a thermal chilling flask for champagne and caviar and comes with four hand-blown crystal champagne flutes. A plaque in the glove box has an inscription quoting Albert Einstein: “The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”
Under the hood is the Phantom’s standard 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, capable of producing 563 horsepower and 664 of torque. The Phantom Tempus can also reach 0 to 60 mph in a comfortable 5.3 seconds. The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament can be custom engraved with any date, location, or number the owner sees fit, only adding to the uniqueness of this spectacular vehicle.
Finished in an exclusive Kairos Blue colorway, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Tempus is limited to just 20 units, with all 20 having been claimed by car enthusiasts already.
